When I was rewriting this website, I had a plan to do weekly blogs on Sundays.
Anyway, it turns out my life is... not that full and also too full. I'm very much busy with something for university. Plus, trying to organise my life and make everything manageable takes time.
Who'd have thought?
Everything I have going on makes progress on creative projects in my free time slow, and that's the main thing I want to talk about. I do intend to try and update the website every Sunday, even if weekly blogs are a little beyond me. Just to keep everything up to date.
I recently organised all my bookmarks. It took some doing but I can find websites now so that's fun. I do have hundreds of links saved in long lists other than my bookmarks, so I probably ought to get on that, but it's still a huge improvement.
I installed Thunderbird on my computer over a year ago, and only just bothered to set it up. By adding all my email addresses and my calendar to one desktop application I've made checking my emails so much more convenient.
I've actually been checking my emails! I hope I continue with that.
Thunderbird also does RSS feeds apparently? And I've heard RSS is a very good thing. If I ever figure out how it works, I intend to add an RSS feed to this website. In related this-website news you may notice: I'm in a webring! I made the webring, it's great.
I have been planning to do Lexember, but whether I actually do or not remains to be seen. I've been trying to prep for it, but... I don't know. We'll see if I can pull that one off.
The other thing I've been thinking about is 2026. All the little goals I want to achieve next year.
The list so far:
Read 6 novels - That adds up to one book every two months. Long enough to be a trivial goal (I hope) and also short enough that if I stick with it I'll have read most of the books that I own and have not read yet. I read a lot of fanfic (some of which is genuinely brilliant) and have read the conlang construction kit at least four times at this point. I need new worlds in my brain. If I read more than six, even better, but six is the goal. Participate in some kind of event. Whether that be some sort of roleplay thing, a game jam, an in person thing, just something where I'm interacting dirrectly with new people. Release a game by the end of June. Even just a demo. Short side projects don't count. Complete a piece of writing set in the conworld I'm creating.
Anyway, that's it for this blog post. Join me next time (whenever next-time is) for... whatever it is I end up posting about! Hopefully conlangs. Possibly tectonic plates or mountain ranges.
