You may have noticed on my fun Media Log page that I'm rewatching Buffy and Firefly.
I'm rewatching them with people - My Buffy Rewatch with one person and my firefly rewatch with another. I loved these shows when I was young. And in many ways they still hold up today. In many ways they don't.
I could focus on the negatives or do in depth analyses, but... I don't know where I would start. I will say Firefly is probably my favourite sci-fi media. Both for having compelling lovable characters and for the worldbuilding. For actual analysis of firefly I've watched This video multiple times. This analysis video, alongside my rewatch has taught me theory for writing compelling groups of characters, though I'm yet to properly act on the theory I've picked up.
Buffy is my childhood. On my current rewatch I'm finding that more of it holds up than I was expecting. In hindsight I am not so much of a fan of Buffy and Angel's relationship. But eight-to-ten-year-old-me wasn't quite so discerning as I am now. If it was something Buffy, I was obsessed. I had so many books, the watchers' guides, at least one of the videogames on xbox. My childhood bedroom had a lightswitch sticker of Willow. I watched and rewatched every season of that show and yapped endlessly.
If you haven't watched these shows, I highly recommend them.
Now we move onto the third part of this blog: March. Whatever do I have planned for March?

Week 4:
Am I certain I can do all this? No. Am I going to try? Yes. Setting goals for the coming month does help me stay on track, even if I don't complete all of it, so I intend to get back to making these monthly blog posts.
