Hello from the new website! Still in the process of moving everything over from the old site, expect some things to be missing for now. It's a big job rewriting the code for a website as big as this one.
So, Since Honey Bread released I have, of course, been working on this website, and I've also been planning and re-planning how exactly I'm going to tackle returning to my other current game project, Sweet Alyssum.
I have decided to move to Godot for Sweet Alyssum, which means I'll need to build VN functionality before I can even begin rather than take advantage of Ren'py. I plan to spend the next four weeks coding this, including the main minigame I intend to implement, and three weeks after that building the 'skeleton' of Sweet Alyssum specifically. After that it should just be a case of making assets and scripts to put into the skeleton and fixing bugs.
All said and done, barring unforseen circumstances, I'm looking to hopefully finish the base game in February 2027. DLC is intended, but the exact details of how or when is, at the time of writing, still up in the air. As is the intended cost. I originally meant to release the game for free and have just the DLC be paid content, however I'm not set on that.
The current Timeline is:
| Months | Activity |
|---|---|
| July to August | Make the game skeleton |
| September to November | Make the game assets |
| December | Spare for inevitable delays |
| January to February | Testing and Polish |
It is more detailed than that in my spreadsheet, but I don't want to commit to the specifics this early in development.
